It was a full weekend in the Moselle Valley at Musée ‘A Possen’ where our association organized the Saxon embroidery workshops within the Journées européennes du patrimoine – Luxembourg It was a smile, with stories about the Saxons and Transylvania, with punctures in the hemp cloth, with colorful threads and with a lot of emotion. We were visited by Romanians, Luxembourgers, Americans, French, Poles, Czechs at the Musée ‘A Possen’. Almost 90 people of all ages have crossed our threshold.
Joining us in this project was ASTRA Museum in Sibiu, who supported us throughout this journey and who made a film about the history of the Saxons and about the home textiles they used.
